TIGSource Comicompo

A wonderful idea, an exquisite corpse comic made by some folks over at the TIGSource forums. They seem to want to make this annual, too. So, the first one is here already, and it's a great trip. Rather short, though.

Dream comics

I keep a dream diary. I'm utterly fascinated by dreams in general. It should come as no surprise, then, that I was ecstatic when I found out about Slow Wave, a webcomic of dreams. Highly recommended.

10:15: Restate my assumptions

If you put images in sequence, narrative emerges.

Narrative is subjective. It doesn't matter how clear the text is: we interpret words our own way, we fill the gaps with our imagination. Reading is a process of transforming text into meaning. We have no dictionaries for images, though, so they're bound to contain even more diverging meanings, depending on who you ask. We are also great pattern-finders, which you can check yourself by looking up to the clouds: see how many animals, faces, and things you can find where there are none. If you put unrelated pictures into a sequence, then meaning, patterns, narrative effortlessly emerge.

Launch!

Rocket ship

The long awaited ascent to the sky of this rocket ship of fantasy and dreams! No one knows what awaits us at the great beyond, but I can assure you, crew, that there is a place out there where ants can roam free without the fear of being squashed to death by five-year-old humans.

As the rest of the site, this blog is a place for you, my friends, to discuss whatever comes to mind. I invite you to register (although it's not necessary), and post. And freaking send a comic.
